The Town of Pegram is pleased to announce our new prescription drug take-back box program. We are partnering with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office and the State of Tennessee to provide this service to residents. Prescription drug take-back boxes provide a place where unused prescription drugs can be safely disposed. These permanent boxes prevent prescription and over-the-counter medications from getting into the hands of children and into the waterways. They make sure they are disposed of in a safe, environmentally-friendly manner.
The take-back box will be located in the lobby of Pegram Town Hall and accessible to residents during normal business hours. Please see below for a list of acceptable items and additional details.
Accepted Items
Prescription Medications
Over-the-Counter Medications
Liquid Medication Bottles
(Less than 4oz in ziplock bag)
Not Accepted Items
Illegal Drugs
Needles/Syringes
Mercury Containing Devices
The Town of Pegram is excited to announce we are soliciting interest in our program that will provide a weather radio to those who don’t have access to a device that provides instant inclement weather reports. In order to participate, applicants must live within the Pegram Corporation Limits. We would like to survey the interest to help determine how many weather radios are needed. If you or someone you know is interested in participating, please send an email to mayor@pegram.net and include the resident’s name, address and contact number. You may also call the Town office at (615) 646-0773 and provide the information. Recipients of the program will be required to provide proof of residency when they receive the weather radio.
We hope this service will provide peace of mind to our residents needing access to inclement weather reports.
