1) Town Recorder – The Town of Pegram seeks applications for the position of Town Recorder.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, maintenance of town financial accounts, purchasing, payroll, cash management, tax and business licensure, attendance at board meetings and taking of minutes, preparation of agendas and legal notices. Basic understanding of municipal accounting principles and finances is desired.

Requirements: Proficient computer skills, excellent communication, writing and organizational skills, as well as ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; schedule flexibility; ability to meet city recorder certification requirements within three years of hire; ability to meet Certified Municipal Financial Officer certification by January 1, 2013; Associates Degree or comparable experience with High School Diploma or GED (administrative or government accounting is preferred).

(held if applications filed for review 10 days prior to meeting)

3) Monthly, 2nd Thursday, 7:PM - Committee of the Whole (agenda setting meeting for the upcoming Town Meeting)

Agenda item requests accepted (using form provided) through Town Hall until 7 (seven) days prior to scheduled meeting

4) Monthly, 3rd Thursday, as needed, 3:PM - Municipal Court  (Municipal Court established to deal with Pegram Municipal Codes issues) 

Canceling policy:  If there is nothing scheduled on the docket ten (10) days prior to court, Municipal Court Session will be Canceled.

5) Monthly, 3rd Thursday, 6:30PM - Emergency Management Board

6) Monthly, Last Thursday prior to the Town Meeting, 7:PM - Sewer Board

7) Monthly, Last Thursday, 7:PM - Town Meeting (directly after Sewer Board)

Order of Business:
PEGRAM MUNICIPAL CODE 1-102
At each meeting of the board of mayor and aldermen, the following regular order of business shall be observed unless
dispensed with, in whole or in part by a majority vote of the members present:
(1) Call to order by the mayor
(2) Roll call by the recorder
(3) Reading of minutes of the previous meeting by the recorder, and approval or correction
(4) Grievances from citizens
(5) Communications from the mayor
(6) Reports from committees, members of the board of mayor and aldermen, and other officers
(7) Old business
(8) New business
(9) Adjournment

General Rules of Order:
The rules of order and parliamentary procedure contained in Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, shall govern the transaction of business by and before the board of mayor and aldermen at its meetings in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with provisions of the charter or this code.
