MEETING CHANGES:
  • Special Called Meeting & Public Hearing will be held on Ordinance 2010-84, amended Budget for the Town of Pegram on August 12, 6:45 PM (prior to the scheduled 7:00 PM C.O.T.W. meeting)
  • Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting will be held August 16th (6:30 PM) instead of August 9th
  • Planning Commission Meeting will be held August 16th (7:00 PM) instead of August 9th
  • BOZA & PCC FEMA Regulations Training to be held conclusion of scheduled 8/16 PPC Meeting

SEALED BID NOTICE:
The Town of Pegram, TN is accepting sealed bids for the following:  Remove and replace roofing at Pegram Parks/Recreation building & concession stand.  Please provide bid for each building. Sealed bids are due to Town Hall at 308 Highway 70 (Mailing address: P.O. Box 249), Pegram, TN  37143 by Monday, August 23rd at 10AM.  Bid opening will be August 23rd at 10:00 AM at Pegram Town Hall.  Bid specifications can be obtained at Town Hall or faxed by calling 646-0773.  Bids must be marked “Roof bid” on outside of envelope.  The Town of Pegram reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

State of Tennessee Sales & Use Tax Refund for those affected by the Flooding:

NEW legislation passed by the General Assembly is expected to provide Tennessee sales tax relief for qualified individuals affected by the recent severe storms and flooding who must replace damaged or destroyed items. Eligible items include major appliances and residential furniture used in the individual’s primary residence with a purchase price of $3,200 or less per item, and building supplies used for restoration of the individual’s primary residence with a purchase price of $500 or less per item. Qualified individuals may file one (1) claim. 

The maximum amount of sales tax refund is $2,500.00. 

There is a deadline to apply and stipulations on who can apply and how to apply.

Please go to http://www.tn.gov/revenue/misc/floodrelief.htm for information and forms to file a claim for a refund.  

For your convenience, information and forms will also be available at Pegram Town Hall.

Agenda item requests accepted (using form provided) through Town Hall until 10 (ten) days prior to scheduled meeting

5) Monthly, 3rd Thursday, as needed, 3:PM - Municipal Court  (Municipal Court established to deal with Pegram Municipal Codes issues) 

Canceling policy:  If there is nothing scheduled on the docket ten (10) days prior to court, Municipal Court Session will be Canceled.

6) Monthly, 3rd Thursday, 6:30PM - Emergency Management Board

7) Monthly, Last Thursday prior to the Town Meeting, 7:PM - Sewer Board

8) Monthly, Last Thursday, 7:PM - Town Meeting (directly after Sewer Board)

At each meeting of the board of mayor and aldermen, the following regular order of business shall be observed unless
dispensed with, in whole or in part by a majority vote of the members present:
(1) Call to order by the mayor
(2) Roll call by the recorder
(3) Reading of minutes of the previous meeting by the recorder, and approval or correction
(4) Grievances from citizens
(5) Communications from the mayor
(6) Reports from committees, members of the board of mayor and aldermen, and other officers
(7) Old business
(8) New business
(9) Adjournment

General Rules of Order:
The rules of order and parliamentary procedure contained in Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, shall govern the transaction of business by and before the board of mayor and aldermen at its meetings in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with provisions of the charter or this code.
