Independence Day in Pegram TN

PUBLIC NOTICE:

The Pegram Emergency Management Board will hold their monthly meeting Thursday, March 18th, at 6:30 PM at Pegram Town Hall, 308 Highway 70.  Jerry Lewis, Dickson Signal Corp, will be the guest speaker.   The Dickson Signal Corp is an Emergency Communication Group who works with Dickson County  Emergency Management to assist the emergency services’ communication abilities during storm situations and any other emergency when needed by using ham radio communication.   Mr. Lewis along with other members of the group will share information with those in attendance concerning the involvement of ham operators in the emergency communication world – and how local ham operators can help. This promises to be a very interesting and informative meeting.  You are invited and encouraged to attend.  Please mark your calendar and don’t miss this meeting. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND!!!

 

Please mark you calendars- the date for all the Independence Day Festivities will be Saturday, July 3rd!

1) Monthly, 2nd Monday, as needed, 6:30PM - Board of Zoning Appeal (BOZA)

(held if applications filed for review 10 days prior to meeting)

2) Monthly, 2nd Monday, 7:PM - Planning Commission (subject to cancel if no applications filed for review 10 days prior to meeting)

3) Monthly, 1st Wednesday, 7:PM - Special Events Committee (mayor created), held at the Pegram Park & Recreation Building

 

4) Monthly, 2nd Thursday, 7:PM - Committee of the Whole (agenda setting meeting for the upcoming Town Meeting)

Agenda item requests accepted (using form provided) through Town Hall until 10 (ten) days prior to scheduled meeting

5) Monthly, 3rd Thursday, as needed, 3:PM - Municipal Court  (Municipal Court established to deal with Pegram Municipal Codes issues) 

Canceling policy:  If there is nothing scheduled on the docket ten (10) days prior to court, Municipal Court Session will be Canceled.

 

6) Monthly, Last Thursday prior to the Town Meeting, 7:PM - Sewer Board

7) Monthly, Last Thursday, 7:PM - Town Meeting (directly after Sewer Board)

Order of Business:
PEGRAM MUNICIPAL CODE 1-102
At each meeting of the board of mayor and aldermen, the following regular order of business shall be observed unless
dispensed with, in whole or in part by a majority vote of the members present:
(1) Call to order by the mayor
(2) Roll call by the recorder
(3) Reading of minutes of the previous meeting by the recorder, and approval or correction
(4) Grievances from citizens
(5) Communications from the mayor
(6) Reports from committees, members of the board of mayor and aldermen, and other officers
(7) Old business
(8) New business
(9) Adjournment

General Rules of Order:
The rules of order and parliamentary procedure contained in Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, shall govern the transaction of business by and before the board of mayor and aldermen at its meetings in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not inconsistent with provisions of the charter or this code.
